Signs Of The Seasons - September
Miramichi, New Brunswick Canada

We have noticed some changes since our summer vacation ended and school began. It is darker in the mornings now. Most times it is dark out when we get up for school. The days are getting shorter and we do not have as much time to play outside after school.
We did not have a very nice summer. We had lots and lots of rain. September was really nice with hardly any rainy days. We got outside to play almost every day we were at school! The temperatures have been warmer than other years. Lots of days we could still wear shorts and T-shirts and the afternoons are very warm. Some mornings have been a little bit chilly.
The leaves are just starting to change colour now. There are still lots of trees that have all green leaves and some are starting to fall. We are seeing lots more animals out like, deer, moose, foxes and bears. They must be looking for food to get ready for the winter. We see flocks of Canada geese heading south for the winter.
The sunflowers are nice and tall and the apples are ready to pick. The temperature for the last day of September was 22C or 72F. The sunrise time was 7:19 am and the sunset time is 7:02 pm.
We hope we have this nice weather in October.
