Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/30/2011

Number: 1

saw 12+ monarchs in a small lot on my road this morning- they were enjoying the Goldenrod-- one of the reasons I'll never cut down goldenrod on our property. (Goldenrod doesnt cause allergies anyway, it's another wild plant that pollinates at the same time but not goldenrod) I couldnt believe it how many I saw- I counted over 12, but there were even more. We've been having warmer than usual weather, and the wild flowers are still in peak blooming season this Fall, so expect more straggler monarchs heading up your way from Pennsylvania yet!!
