With a cold front approaching from the north, it was cloudy with wind-blown rain off and on this afternoon. The temperature was dropping and I came inside to get a sweatshirt. I looked out the front window and there was a hummingbird drinking from the feeder on the porch. Later, when I looked out again, there were 2 of them hovering over the garden. They made me smile because I thought I wouldn't see another until next spring. But I also hope they are on their way south again in the morning. Also, that they stay warm tonight.
