Number: 2000

October 4
V and I just returned from the roost site....About 400 tonight as well as last evening...Still watching Hope there will be a significant surge soon!!!

October 3
There is a lake LaFourche nearby (1 mile west. We also have had recent raint and the water is in the ditch where the monarch roost in the trees. Tonight there are 300-400. Another cold front is supposed to enter our area on Wednesday, so maybe more will come down. Goldenrod continues to bloom.Maybe when that peaks the butterflies will "peak". Seems that is the way it has been for the past five years.
