At first I thought that my hummers were gone, do to the change in temp. When I went outside, however, I saw one fly away, so I have since changed their feeders. By the afternoon I observed @ least 2 female ruby-thoated hummers frightening and chasing the other off. Then one coming back and perching on the trellis guarding her territory. They are so funny, I guess they are trying to get that last bit of sugar out of the feeders and gardens before their long migration, which I am sure is real soon.
