For week ending 10/2, hummingbird numbers and frequency diminished during week. Up to 3 hummers seen Monday through Friday. Same territoral behavior as in previous weeks. Cold front moved through mid-morning Friday, winds out of the north. Brief observation time late evening Saturday, no hummers seen. Sunday morning only a few individual sitings at feeders. One instance of territorial behavior. No sitings Sunday evening. Feeding on abelia, salvia, hamelia and honeysuckle seen around yard during week, but mostly feeders visited. Location W.
