After night time temperatures in the mid 30's my feeders were visited by 3 seperate hummers. Each spent long moments of resting and drinking before flying to surrounding shrubs to perch for awhile. Throughout the day 2 may have been the ones returning to the feeders. Later in the evening at 7:30pm one lone female was observed at patio feeder, then flittering amongst the remaining Rose-of-Sharon blooms, returning to the feeder. After several minutes she was seen flying into a heavy cover shrub frequented by my regular seasonal visitors. Possible roosting for the evening.
