Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/02/2011

Number: 2

We rescued two Monarch butterflies who were unable to fly because the temperature was below 55*F (13*C). The temperature was 49*F and cooler in the evening so we recreated a temporary habitat for them with milkweed, baby's breath and sponges soaked in sugar water. We released them today since the temperature reached 65*F. Safe travels south!
