Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/03/2011

Number: 1

I think that the three hummers (mother and babies) that spent the last several months with us left this week. We did not see them for a couple of days. Last night I had a sighting of one female that did not look like our regular ones. I think that she was a migrating one because she looked somewhat confused trying to get a drink from a stained glass flower hanging on the inside of our window (Something our regular hummers would never do). She then went over to our butterfly bush for a moment and then spotted the feeder where she stayed for several minutes. She then took off and I did not see her again.
