I observed one monarch flying at tree top level in Big Bog Recreation Area at Upper Red Lake in Minnesota. The temperature was unseasonally warm at about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I didn't expect to see a monarch this far North this late in the season. We are expecting warmer than usual weather for the next several days; maybe this monarch will make it to Mexico
