One lone female Ruby-throated defended her feeder twice today. She accosted a chickadee who was trying to eat whatever was floating in the ant trap above the hummingbird feeder and he flew away. In less than a minute a Tufted titmouse landed on the same ant trap and the hummer flew into him causing him to leave his perch and fly backward as the hummer kept the pressure on!!
