Saw 47 butterflies along Trustees Road at West Meadow Beach in the early afternoon. Most were flying high in a southerly direction, but several were feeding on goldenrod. Captured and tagged 6 specimens.

October 5
Most of the butterflies observed at West Meadow Beach were on the creek (leeward) side, feeding on the seaside goldenrod. Captured and tagged 47 specimens.
