After what felt like a month of clouds and rain, the sun was finally, gloriously OUT today, and the monarchs were in abundance at National Zoo, YAY!!! Between several different butterfly bush plantings, I located nine individuals, although there were probably more as they weren't exactly inactive:-) Best of all, I was able to photograph some in the natural light, with the sunshine streaming through their stained glass-like wings, SWEET!!!!!
