Observed one female Monarch nectaring on buddleia and zinnias in our front yard. Weather was sunny and mild at about 70 degrees Fahrenheit. (First Monarch we've seen in the area since 9/20, when we released last of the Monarchs we raised.) While this female looked a bit smaller than average, her flight was strong and energetic, and she gathered nectar for quite a while before flying off.
