Unfortunately today was the first day during the hummingbirds southward migration that I didn't spot one. I know one passed close by as I worked in the flower beds, but it didn't stop at my feeders. I shall miss their familiar hum and chirp until next season. Quite possibly this will be my last sighting entry for the 2011 hummingbird season. As a first time participant I have greatly enjoyed sharing the same enthusiasim as many of you in following their northward and southward migrations. I will be following others reports from further south as they continue to migrate. Likewise I anxiously await the 2012 season reporting to begin and participating once more! Thanks to many of you that I have had the pleasure of sharing a comment or two with, pertaining to these wonderful creatures!
