Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/05/2011

Number: 1

My juvenile male left on Wednesday (10/5, writing 10/7), that was the last day I saw him at the feeders. What I thought was a small female was actually another juvenile male. He buzzed me this past weekend and I could see two small red feathers on his neck. He is still with me as of today. He doesn't eat from the feeders, but loves my honeysuckle and salvia. I saw him twice today on the honeysuckle. He is still pretty small, so I don't know when he will leave. As long as he is here, will keep fresh food out in case he changes his mind. Hope he gets big enough, soon enough for the big journey!
