Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/08/2011

Number: 7

we have seen a variety today again. They do not hang around long. They are no longer kamikaze pilots. When they perch they feed with great intensity. We know we are having more just from the level going down on the feeders. The fluid is colored burnt orange so next year i plan to get serious about a variety of colors to see what in central Texas is the biggest draw. Perhaps red is not the best in some regions. Who knows no one is giving me a 200,000.00 grant to tell all people in the US to use color "X." I can say with great certainty that Rambo stuck with blue food and gladly would have fought to the death for it.
