Sightings report image

Date: 10/08/2011

Number: 1

A bald eagle landed atop a tree next to the west branch of the Tunungwant Creek at about noon today. It's the second straight day I've seen a bald eagle in this area. It stayed in the tree for about 15 seconds before swooping toward the water, out of my sight. I saw a bald eagle in this area in August as well.

The location is very near the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. This sighting took place from the Richard McDowell Trail.
