Tagged 29 monarchs nectaring on asters and sunflowers. This evening we returned to find two roosted low in a dogwood and two others flying through the trees as if looking for a roost. One was tagged indicating possible staging here. (We have observed staging and roosting here since 1996). This is the behavior we see before migration here but it is 1 month late.
