The peak Monarch migration has hit Dallas. Their numbers have been steadily growing over the past 2 weeks, and today there were approx. 60+ butterflies in the garden (at the same time). They fly around so much it's impossible to count them all. They nectar primariy on Frostweed and to a lesser extent, Mexican Sunflower and Gregg's Mistflower - but Frostweed is their favorite. If it wasn't for human gardens, there would be next to nothing for them to nectar on due to the drought in Texas this year.
