I spent an hour this afternoon at the NCSU Raulston Arboretum in west Raleigh. Despite the dry conditions, and the taking up of some of the lantana from the gardens by staff, the activity was fast and furious among what is left. Of course, on Oct. 9, diversity is dropping weekly, though 15 species isnt bad, along with a few hundred individuals. Heres the list:
Monarch 35 everywhere! One had a fresh round wing tag, under the right FW; banded by Brian B recently at Falls Lake?
