Date: 10/09/2011

I saw lots more warming up and flying at 9 am this morning.

October 9
I saw about 100 monarch butterflies leaving NH's seacoast today in about an hour of continuous flow. Wow, were they flying fast, headed south. Beautiful sunny day 85 degrees at the beach. They were loving the breeze and the heat. A few were stopping on a flowers, but moving on quickly to find a roost for the night. (They like the weeping willow trees along the coast)
