Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/09/2011

Number: 2

While visiting Storm King Art Center we spotted two Monarchs between 1:20 and 3:40 in the afternoon. It was a warm day, around 85 degrees F. They were flying south. There was a large patch of milkweed nearby making me wonder... "Do Monarchs lay eggs in the fall?" We will have to investigate that question this week at school!
