Over the weekend, there were constantly 2 or 3 birds here and this evening there are still 3 immature Ruby-throated hummingbirds hanging around. They were all hawking insects and feeding on the blooms of various salvias, cupheas and leonotis leonurus in my yard. One of the three was very plump. The other two were still quite small and seemed to be in need of some more migration fat reserves.

This is the latest date that I've had multiple hummingbirds here.
