Have seen more hbirds this season than the usual only occasional bird. I live in a remnant post oak woods in a developed suburban area, but have several nectar plants blooming through the season. However, this year has seen extreme drought and record high temps, and native plants in outlying areas must be almost non-existent. I think towns with folks watering may be why I have seen more. Into Sept. would see usually only one at a time, although occasionally 2. Have not put out feeder for several years as only occasionally seeing one and have several plant species flowering for nectar. However, different this season with seeing hbirds more often; so put out feeder.
