It has been 5 days (writing 10/10/11) since we last saw a plump female hummingbird at our feeders. The hummies are gone, as are the monarchs. I'll leave the feeders out for now, but soon the nights will be freezing. Then, it will be time to put them away until next May. Sigh.......seven months until we see our tiny friends again. Seems like a very long time.
