Several BCHU and one or two RTHU are still hanging around or passing through our place west of Wimberley Texas, 10/10/11. Numbers are steadily thinning after a huge flurry around Labor Day. We still have 9 -30 oz feeders up but they're not being drained much these days. The hummers coming in sit and drink for minutes at a time.
Around the 1st of September we had 17 of these feeders filled up and they were on the verge of being finished off just before we showed up from Austin to refill them (every three days through the spring and summer).
There are very few flowers out here after the exceptional drought all spring and summer in Texas.
