My husband and I were so excited to see one, then another, then another monarch at dusk come over the fields into our yard and select a tree to rest for the night. We have a lot of trees but we had never seen any come in at night to stay! It was only three but we were thrilled. I often see them migrate through the clear cut in our back, sometimes stopping to nectar. It was a big treat for sure. We enjoyed watching their selection process and flashing to one another when they found the tree they wanted!
