Oct 4- only 1 Monarch seen today after several days of cold windy weather. Today has warmed up to 71'F. Observation time - 3 hours.



Oct 8 and 9th- Both days sunny and warm. High 72 each day. The long migration tail has re-emerged after a spell of cold windy weather. About 60 butterflies per hour observed for most of the day dropping down to about 30 per hour around 5:30 PM. Monarchs are flying south west towards Rondeau Provincial Park at elevation ranging form ground level up to 300 feet.
