Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/11/2011

Number: 2

Extended warm weather here in Minnesota this October. At around noon I observed 2 monarchs nectaring on black-and-blue salvia flowers. These were bright and colorful butterflies that appeared to be freshly hatched. They must be lingering here where the weather is warm and the flowers are still holding some nectar.
