Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/12/2011

Number: 6

Small hummer war going on here. This morning brought in a few new birds all females and/or juveniles but they are very skinny. I had to put out my last (4 total now) feeder in a different area so they could eat in peace. A very active hummer war took place this morning and I hope for more of the same this afternoon. I estimate at least 10 or more Ruby Throats in my trees or feeding. I saw 6 feeding at the same time at 4 different feeders with birds coming and going from the trees. A weak cold front is coming in tonight with gusty north winds tomorrow. The fat birds will likely leave with it....we'll see!?!?
