Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/11/2011

Number: 40

I was paddling on Western Lake, and realized that Monarch Butterflies were flying over me, and my naturalist friend confirmed that they were Monarchs. I counted 40 in an hour of paddling. They were primarily flying single, although I saw one couple that seemed to be interacting by circling around each other.
