From atop the "summit" of Wake County Landfill Park in north Raleigh today I saw about a half dozen monarchs all heading SW over the top. Wish there was some nectar up there it would be an ideal spot for tagging.

The sun came out later and I hit some spots around I85 tagging 7, seeing another dozen or so either too high or too fast for my net. Migration not over yet.
