Oct 14: weather is turning colder and becoming very windy. Despite weather conditions I observed 14 butterflies nectaring on purple aster during a 30 minute walk at Clearville Park (located on the north shore of Lake Erie). Later in the afternoon I observed 5 butterflies in a 10 minute time frame flying south-west along the shoreline. Today's high temp was 59F, partly sunny but very windy. See attached photo.

Oct 15: Wind gusting to 40 MPH from the SW direction, High temp is 55F. I saw one Monarch in the breeze trying to grab onto a tree branch.
