Late morning, saw a Monarch fly to Tithonia flowers in garden near the house. Beautiful rich coloration, strong flyer - flew a few circles to stop and get nectar, then off to the South. Nice surprise, as I haven't seen any Monarchs in about a week. Mostly sunny all morning, but wind really picked up around noon and was very strong the rest of the day - glad for the calm morning and lovely visitor. Happy travels!
