Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/17/2011

Number: 1

I observed a single monarch butterfly in our north yard. It started out on some yellow mums and fell into some tall grass. I gently lifted it from the tall grass and placed it more in the sun. It immediately spread it wings and soaked up the sun. It seems very heavy and fat. 20 minutes later it was gone. The day was very cool and windy. Hope he makes it!
