Dr. Lincoln Brower forwarded this observation from his son who drives from Christiana, TN, to Murfreesboro, TN (about 10 miles) each day.

"Last two days have been big migration days here. Driving to work yesterday. I saw 9 fresh-looking monarchs crossing the road, and today (10/17/11) about 25. All flying southwest. I haven't noticed them in such numbers before - there must be thousands passing through here now."
