Cape May, NJ was beautiful Sunday, 10/16/11. We did not see any monarchs on the drive down, but many falling orange leaves that make you brake when they come at the windshield. We drove right to Cape May Point State Park. It was around 77degrees, sunny and breezy. We only saw a few monarchs on the goldenrod on the beach, but at least 100 seen throughout the day. One butterfly garden at someones home had about 30 monarchs happily feeding and another garden had probably another 20. The winds seemed to be blowing to the northeast, so the monarchs were struggling against it.
