Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/19/2011

Number: 100

For the past few days, I have been sighting Monarchs on their way through, maybe 5 an hour. Yesterday, 10/19/11, I found some isolated patches of Cowpen Daisies, Verbesina encelioides where numerous Monarchs were nectaring. Since we are under a severe drought here in Central Texas, it was nice to find these islands of daisies to help fuel the Monarchs on their way through.
