a female Monarch emerged from her chrysalis two days ago (in our kitchen) and she is still on the butterfly bush outside..terrible weather and she is a bit protected..two more to emerge soon..very late in the year although the weather has not been too cold..we wonder if she will make it to Mexico but can only hope..
