Our little hummer is still perching atop a small shrub to guard the feeder and bask in the sun during nice weather. I believe this hummer is a small female and possibly a juvenile but still not sure. I have found a hummingbird syrup that supplies protein for the winter but it is only available in the USA so may have to order online or take a trip into Bellingham, Wash. The weather has now turned rainy with highs of 13 c and lows bordering on 1-2 c.
