Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 10/20/2011

Number: 12

There are still about a dozen male and female Anna's in the garden, starting in the rain at the earliest dawn. Today, they're not as shy as they were yesterday. At times, there is a feeding frenzy at the feeders. (I brought in several feeders to thwart the hornets, but still have eight out.) The female in the photo must have been very hungry, because she drank for a very long time.
