Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/15/2011

Number: 50

I've never seen so many monarchs in my yard in one day. Every ten minutes or so a new monarch would come in from the north to feed on the lantana and butterfly bushes. As new monarchs arrived, other feeding monarchs would head south. I caught, tagged and sampled 29 monarchs for OE, but there many more that I didn't have time to catch.
