Tuesday October 7th 2011, was a beautiful day in Bay Village, Ohio. The temperature was in the seventies. We dug rows for the bulbs. We measured carefully and put each bulb in the ground. We covered them with dirt. We covered our two planting sites with chicken wire because we have some squirrels that were watching us. We knew they wanted those yummy bulbs. We secured the wire in the ground with cut coat hangers. After we came inside we saw the squirrels exploring our planting area - they knew the bulbs were there.
