We planted our tulips on a chilly fall day. It rained a lot this week, so we were worried that it would be too muddy. The Garden Club in our town provided the tulips, and one of the members gave us a talk about the history of tulips. She told us that there are 109 varieties of tulips and they originated in Afghanistan. We learned that true blue is the only color that tulips don't come in.
