This sighting happened last week. (Estimated 10/15) I had one lone monarch butterfly in my yard, resting on a warm rock. I was surprised to see it because I haven't really seen any migrating butterflies this year and because the weather has been cold and windy. After reading the report on the winds on the Great Lakes, I now understand why this might have happened.
