Saw one Monarch flying across the back yard - rested for a few minutes in the grass, then took off flying strongly towards the South. Was in mid-afternoon, sunny, temp in low 60s. Unfortunately, a frost the night before dealt a final blow to the flowers on the property, so there were almost no nectar sources; I hope our winged visitor finds some nourishment nearby to help fuel the long journey.
