Driving to work a while ago (1:45PM) I had two Monarchs fly over the top of my hood as I was exiting IH45 at the N 3086 exit, heading West/Southwest. Remarkably, neither was sucked into the slipstream of the car and they continued peacefully, though I imagine somewhat shaken, across IH45 and into the distance on the west side of the freeway.
Sure would like them to head south about 4 miles to our house and take respite on our two blossoming milkweed. Maybe even depositing a bunch of eggs. Texted the wife to please put out the "Welcome" sign - Yummy milkweed located here!
