Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/24/2011

Number: 150

I have been seeing lots of migrating Monarchs. The migration started last week after the front came through and has continued through today. I have seen 50 or more driving home from work T, W, & Th last week.
Friday morning,I drove down the Galveston Bay coast line along FM 146 and the streets to the east of 146 as far as San Leon. I stopped several times along the way and watched the Monarchs fluttering across the water and onto a trail that continued on across land. Fantastic!
They are also cruising over my house, but they are not as obvious or plentiful as when I see them while I am driving.
