Several male and female Anna's hummingbirds in the garden today. I was too preoccupied to take an exact count, but there were at least a dozen. One male chided me as I cut down an oak tree that was interfering with the house roof. The male in the photo seems to have been a newcomer to the garden for he had problems--at first--to figure out how the feeder worked.
